Does this trade make sense for the Brooklyn Nets?
You can definitely make an argument that both Myles Turner and Jeremy Lamb could provide immediate value to a championship-contending team like the Brooklyn Nets, especially since Kyrie is currently “dead weight” since he is just sitting out, but the Nets really would be taking a hit in terms of total value in this trade.
There is a chance that this first-round pick they would get from Indiana would not even convey over and even if they did obtain this draft pick in 2023, the Nets have nothing to gain from this first-round pick. They are in championship mode as a team right now and looking to win titles, which is why a new prospect does not really help them in their goals right now.
When you look at this Nets roster as a whole, they are definitely sustainable without Kyrie Irving right now. They have a solid backcourt with the likes of Harden, Mills, and Carter and then Kevin Durant seems to be doing just fine on both ends of the court.
Of course, they could leverage Irving and get their stars some more help, in this case in the frontcourt, but Brooklyn would be in a much better position just waiting for Irving to get vaccinated or for New York City to change their vaccine mandates.

Trading Kyrie to another Eastern Conference team, one the Nets could potentially face in the first-round of the playoffs, is not a good idea whatsoever. They have been patient with Irving to this point and seeing as these mandates are not going to last forever, they may just be content with the idea of having their All-Star guard sit out this season and be ready to go for years moving forward.
