If the Nets are going to trade Kyrie Irving this season, they are going to have to receive a ton of value in return, similar to what the Philadelphia 76ers are currently looking for in a Ben Simmons trade.
Brooklyn is in championship mode and they are of the mindset right now that if they do not win a title this season, then the whole year was a waste of time.
There were some rumors in the offseason about Myles Turner’s availability and the Nets possibly being a team that would look to upgrade their talent at the center position, but no formal trade talks between the Indiana Pacers and Nets ever materialized.
As the season goes on and we inch closer to February’s Trade Deadline date, we could see the Pacers be more willing to give up on their defensive-minded center, especially if they are struggling to find production in other areas on the floor.

For years now, Myles Turner has been a hot topic of discussion around the league as a possible trade target, which is puzzling because of how good he has been defensively for the Pacers. Now in his 7th season in Indiana, Turner has averaged 12.8 points, 6.7 rebounds and most importantly, has averaged 2.2 blocks per game.
Over the last three seasons, Turner has averaged 2.7 blocks per game and has led the league in blocked shots per game in two of the last three years.
So far this season, he is averaging 2.9 blocks per game, which leads the league right now, and he has recorded at least two blocks in 9 of the 11 games the Indiana Pacers have played this year.
Defense is one of the areas of concern for the Nets and while they have been better this year, currently ranking 9th in the league in net defensive rating, a lot of pressure could be taken off the shoulders of Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge with the addition of Turner underneath.
