Orlando Magic Receive: F Cam Reddish
Atlanta Hawks Receive: G RJ Hampton, 2023 First Round Pick (via CHI), 2022 Second Round Pick (via IND)

Cam Reddish has been an intriguing player since he entered the league. He was a lottery pick of the Atlanta Hawks coming out of Duke but has not been able to take that next step in Atlanta.

A trade of this kind would give Reddish a new start where he might be able to develop in an extended role.

The Hawks would be able to take advantage of whatever value Reddish has. He will need to get paid at some point and moving him sooner rather than later could make the most sense.

RJ Hampton would lead the return, along with some draft capital over the next two years. The Hawks would get a first-round pick back in return and this is what they should be looking for.

The Hawks would surely appreciate being able to land Cole Anthony in a potential trade to hold down the second unit, but right now, parting with him in a trade would be less than ideal for the Magic. Parting with Hampton would be an easier choice.

Let’s take a closer look and see how this NBA trade scenario centered around Cam Reddish would impact both the Atlanta Hawks and Orlando Magic.
