Josh Jackson – Detroit Pistons
Adding more bench depth to their roster is something we could see the Washington Wizards look to do ahead of the trade deadline this season and Josh Jackson is not a bad name for them to keep tabs on. Formerly drafted 4th overall in 2017, Jackson has had to work his way back to relevance in the NBA and has done a good job in doing so with the Pistons.
Last season, Josh Jackson averaged 13.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and shot 41.9% from the floor and this season, he has continued to be a viable bench player in Detroit. Through six games with the Pistons this season, Jackson is averaging 10.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, and shooting 46.2% from the floor.
Being able to score off-the-dribble and create space for his teammates is what makes Josh Jackson a viable trade target for some playoff-contending teams in this league and being owed just $5M in the final year of his contract, he is definitely a player many teams around the league can afford to target.
What the Pistons would want for him remains a question, but the Wizards could offer up guys like rookies Isaiah Todd and Corey Kispert, as well as Aaron Holiday, Thomas Bryant and/or a first-round draft pick.

Detroit is rebuilding right now and will likely want future value in any trade they make giving up Josh Jackson, which is why the Wizards could realistically get away with a trade package involving a draft pick and Aaron Holiday. Having more depth on the wing could go a long way in the Wizards locking up a playoff spot for the second consecutive season.
