3. New York Knicks
The New York Knicks are off to a hot start this season and are looking like a lineup that is finally balanced on both ends of the floor. Julius Randle signed an extension this offseason and the Knicks added Evan Fournier and Kemba Walker in free agency. Now, they could be in the market for another star.
The Knicks finally have assets they would be able to send away. This includes first-round draft capital, with some coming from the Dallas Mavericks.
Obi Toppin is beginning to break out a bit in year two so it will be interesting if the New York Knicks decide to take advantage of his value. New York has a strong bench full of depth and might not want to completely deplete it this early.
If they are in the hunt around the trade deadline, the Knicks could continue to be aggressive in order to land that star piece on the perimeter.
