The Charlotte Hornets have a reliable core to build around for the future. This is a team that was able to qualify for a play-in game last season and is looking to take it to the next step. That could happen if they balance out the rotation right away.

Wood has experience playing with high-level guard play — something he would have in the backcourt in Charlotte. He could thrive being on the receiving end of passing from LaMelo Ball, Terry Rozier, and as well as Gordon Hayward.
