Malcolm Brogdon
Malcolm Brogdon lands on this list because the Indiana Pacers have been on the teams most actively attempting to acquire Ben Simmons from the Philadelphia 76ers. In early July, following their elimination from the postseason, the first trade offer the 76ers reportedly received was from the Pacers.
Indiana had offered Brogdon and the No. 13 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft in exchange for Simmons, but the deal was declined. Recently, it has been reported that Brogdon is someone the 76ers have inquired about.
Philadelphia likes his two-way play and versatility to play either point guard or shooting guard. He has the length to defend some wings as well. His fit alongside Joel Embiid is another thing the 76ers like.
As Jordan Schultz states, Caris LeVert is another player that the 76ers have had some level of interest in. Brogdon is a borderline All-Star while LeVert has an incredibly high ceiling. If he can stay healthy, he would be an impactful player.

Alas, Marc Stein of the New York Times shared that the 76ers are unmoved by a package of LeVert and Brogdon for Simmons. If that is the case, Brogdon is likely to remain with the Pacers.
Indiana has some long-term doubts about Brogdon being the point guard of their team, but there aren’t many options when it comes to replacing him. Unless he is part of the trade package for Simmons, he will be remaining in the Twin Cities.
