Would this trade make sense for the San Antonio Spurs?
The San Antonio Spurs were able to make it to the play-in portion of the postseason this year. They did not get any further and this is not acceptable for a successful franchise like San Antonio. There could be some moves on the horizon to improve the lineup.
Ingram would certainly help on the offensive end of the floor. He has been a viable option for the Pelicans for years now. Since being traded out of Los Angeles, Ingram has improved dramatically as a scorer from all three levels.
San Antonio already features a promising backcourt and Brandon Ingram could bring some needed ability to the small forward position.
The Spurs need to continue making moves if they want to clinch a spot in the postseason in a difficult Western Conference. Adding a talent that can go out and put up big scoring totals as the focus of the opposition’s defensive game-planning ranks high on the list.

When looking at this deal, the Spurs could be pegged as the winners. This is a no-brainer if they have a chance to add a player of Ingram’s caliber.
