Does this trade make sense for the Golden State Warriors?

Golden State really does like the upside that both Andrew Wiggins and James Wiseman bring to the table and this front-office has said multiple times that they will not be moving either guy in a trade right now, but at the end of the day, the potential to win a title trumps everything else. 

This organization needs to not only make it back to the playoffs this season, but they need to once again prove that they have what it takes to win a title.

Obviously adding a guy like Bradley Beal or Damian Lillard would be the No. 1 option for this team to do in a trade, but this trade with the Toronto Raptors actually makes a ton of sense because of the valuable depth they would add. 

As mentioned before, Anunoby is a key talent on the wing that can do many things to help his team win, similar to Wiggins’ role already with the Golden State Warriors, but what separates Anunoby is the fact that he is only 24-years-old, whereas Wiggins is already 26-years-old and turning 27 in February.

Not only would they be covered on the wing by adding OG Anunoby to their roster, but the Warriors would be getting two consistent and reliable players in their backcourt and frontcourt in Goran Dragic and Chris Boucher.

Between Dragic’s playmaking/floor-spacing abilities and Boucher’s shot-blocking potential, this team would have everything they need to be a true threat once again.

Depth has hurt the Golden State Warriors over the years and this trade with the Raptors solves a lot of their issues for a small price of their future. Winning now needs to be a priority over winning in the future, which is why this trade makes sense for the Warriors.
