Golden State Warriors Receive: F OG Anunoby, F/C Chris Boucher, G Goran Dragic
Toronto Raptors Receive: F Andrew Wiggins, C James Wiseman, GSW 2022 1st Round Pick (Unprotected), TOR 2022 2nd Round Pick (via GSW)

After losing Kyle Lowry to the Miami Heat this offseason, the Toronto Raptors seem to be heading in a new direction as a franchise, but nobody seems to know what this direction is.

Are the Raptors still a contending team in the Eastern Conference after going 27-45 or are they a team that is going to have to rebuild?

Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet offer a lot of upside in terms of leadership and All-Star play for this organization, but they also have a ton of young pieces that need more time to grow in OG Anunoby, Gary Trent Jr., Malachi Flynn, and Scottie Barnes being a few of these guys.

Andrew Wiggins and James Wiseman offer a lot of potential moving forward and in terms of what the Raptors would be giving up, they could actually cement themselves as a team now and for the future.

Chris Boucher is a key bench talent in the frontcourt that the Raptors could move since they now have Scottie Barnes and Goran Dragic is a veteran player they are going to be looking to move anyways.

Golden State needs another impact player in their rotation and OG Anunoby can be this kind of player. Compared to Andrew Wiggins, the two guys are pretty similar in terms of a two-way player and production on offense, but the depth the Warriors get in this trade from Toronto is what makes the deal intriguing for them.

Dragic could provide some immediate depth behind Steph Curry and while he used to be on their roster, bringing Chris Boucher back would provide the Golden State Warriors with a viable backup option behind Kevin Looney at the center position.

Will the Toronto Raptors accept the fact that they are rebuilding or will they look to continue building with what they have?
