Does this trade make sense for the Indiana Pacers?
Rumors about the Indiana Pacers trading Myles Turner have been going on for years now and at some point, there has to be some truth to some of these rumors.
Turner does not seem to be a long-term building block of this franchise right now and with the Pacers on the verge of flipping their roster around, he could be the first player they look to move for value.
Joe Harris is definitely the type of player that fits what the Indiana Pacers are looking to do offensively and with Rick Carlisle now being the head coach of this team, he is going to need playmakers out on the perimeter that he can draw up plays for.
Obviously, Domantas Sabonis, Malcolm Brogdon, Caris LeVert, and T.J. Warren highlight this roster, but they cannot do everything for this team, especially with the injury bug not going away.

He is not an All-Star-level talent and is nothing more than a sharpshooter in this league, but Joe Harris has shot over 40% in four consecutive seasons now, plus he has led the league in three-point shooting percentage two of the last three seasons by shooting upwards of 47% from deep.
Guys like him do not become available in trade talks every day and given the Pacers’ struggles on offense from the perimeter over the years, they would be lucky to have a great complimentary offensive weapon like Joe Harris. He is an upgrade from Justin Holiday and quite honestly, the Pacers can quickly recover by moving Myles Turner.

They would not only have Nicolas Claxton, who has shown flashes of being a “bruiser-like” center who can rebound on both ends of the court early on in his career, but they also just drafted Isaiah Jackson in the first round.
These two guys, along with Goga Bitadze, could be the future frontcourt of the Pacers as they continue to compete now with the likes of Brogdon, Sabonis, LeVert and Warren.
