Would this trade make sense for the Sacramento Kings?
The Sacramento Kings are currently in the midst of a 15-year playoff drought. This is by far the longest in the NBA and there does not seem to be an end in sight. Sacramento has a point guard to build around it De’Aaron Fox and could balance the floor with the addition of an elite center.
Myles Turner led the league in blocks last season once again and has proven that he is a legitimate defensive anchor. His ability to stretch the floor on offense makes for an intriguing fit alongside Fox, too.
It is clear that the NBA is built around its guard play but rim protection is essential, too. Sacramento can use all the help they can get and Turner would improve the unit on both ends right away.
A trade for Turner would not make the Kings a lock for a playoff appearance in the loaded Western Conference. However, if De’Aaron Fox can continue his progression and form an effective two-man game with Turner, it could go a long way.
