Would this trade make sense for the Indiana Pacers?
The Indiana Pacers are used to being a playoff team in the Eastern Conference. This was not the case this past season as the team struggled with inconsistencies from the very beginning.
The Pacers have one of the best front offices in the NBA and could see that put into motion very soon. It still appears clear there is a need to move on from Myles Turner with the team committed to building around Domantas Sabonis in the frontcourt.
It already began when Victor Oladipo was traded last season. This is when the rest of the rumors began, involving both Domantas Sabonis and Malcolm Brogdon. It is unlikely that either of those core players is moved so that leaves turn her as the best option.
If the return is Hield, this is a no-brainer for the Pacers. Indiana could use a high-volume perimeter shooter to help maximize their half-court offense, especially with LeVert currently dealing with an injury. Once TJ Warren is healthy, there would be a lot of firepower on the perimeter around Sabonis.

Sabonis has turned into an all-star caliber forward and all of a sudden, the Pacers have some balance. It will be interesting to see if they are ultimately healed as the offseason progresses.
