James Borrego, Charlotte Hornets
The Charlotte Hornets made it to the play-in portion of the playoffs last season but no further. This is another team that is building for the future and LaMelo Ball leads the way. The reigning NBA Rookie of the Year has the team heading in the right direction but they need to continue to improve.
James Borrego is entering his fourth year as head coach of the Hornets and has yet to post a winning record. Devonte Graham is now in New Orleans and Terry Rozier signed an extension this offseason.
Ball is the centerpiece player for the Charlotte Hornets and has to lead the team to a better record. The Hornets finished 33-39 last season in a weak Eastern Conference.
If the Hornets underachieve this season and do not make the playoffs, things could get a bit dicey for Borrego. This is another situation where the team needs to improve and it could come down to coaching.

The Charlotte Hornets are hoping to compete this season and in the future. If Borrego is not the right coach, they will need to find out very soon.
