Whenever notable players become available, the Minnesota Timberwolves are rarely a team to consider. While the Timberwolves did land D’Angelo Russell a couple of years ago, it was largely due to his relationship with Karl-Anthony Towns.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are reportedly among a handful of teams that have expressed some level of interest in acquiring Ben Simmons from the Philadelphia 76ers.

But what if Simmons isn’t a feasible option for Minnesota? Harrison Barnes isn’t a point-forward like Simmons, but he could improve the shooting on the court for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Minnesota has been desperate to find a power forward that can excel alongside Towns in the frontcourt, especially when it comes to improving the spacing around the All-Star center.
