The Memphis Grizzlies have continually improved in recent seasons, in large part due to the gradual improvements that Ja Morant has made.

Aside from Morant, the Memphis Grizzlies have a decent corps of young players that includes Dillon Brooks, De’Anthony Melton, Desmond Bane, Brandon Clarke, Xavier Tillman, and Jaren Jackson Jr.

What Memphis could use right now is an experienced forward that can stretch the floor consistently.

Getting Harrison Barnes would allow Memphis to deploy a small-ball lineup of Morant, Bane, Brooks, Barnes, and Jackson. All five players would be able to shoot and defenses would have a tough time guarding all five of them on the perimeter.

Even though Barnes would likely prefer to go to a team that is closer to contention than the Grizzlies, Memphis is an organization on the rise right now.
