The Chicago Bulls have expectations heading into the season. This is something that is new but the front office made some big moves this offseason. Lonzo Ball was signed in free agency followed by DeMar DeRozan being acquired in a sign-and-trade deal with the San Antonio Spurs.

The Bulls are hoping to turn into a postseason team in the Eastern Conference this season. This could happen if Patrick Williams takes that next step in Chicago. Williams was named to the All-Rookie Second Team after posting 9.2 points and 4.6 rebounds per game last year.

Williams just turned 20 years old and has plenty of room to grow. With his current age and skill set, the Bulls could have a future star and this could be the year where it begins.

Markkanen is now in Cleveland and Zach LaVine has some more help in the rotation. Williams could be an under-the-radar contributor.

If Williams takes that step toward a breakout season, it is hard to imagine the Bulls missing the postseason. Either way, Chicago will continue to be a big storyline and topic of conversation once the season begins.
