Rosas used to work under Daryl Morey

Back in 2019, the Timberwolves hired Rosas to be their president of basketball operations. Minnesota was amid a rebuild and it was expected that Rosas would have some time to put together a contending roster in the coming years.

However, members of the organization seemed to be distraught with how Rosas handled business and his relationships with his colleagues.

Before Rosas joined the Timberwolves, he spent plenty of years under Daryl Morey when he was with the Houston Rockets. Rosas began as a scout/video coordinator before working his way to an executive position that made him Morey’s right-hand man.

Seeing that Morey is now the president of basketball operations on the 76ers, having Rosas could have helped the Timberwolves manufacture a trade with Philadelphia.
