Kenrich Williams – Oklahoma City Thunder
Much like the Rockets, the Oklahoma City Thunder are rebuilding and are very open to making deals if they can get a draft pick or two in return. Through the 2028 NBA Draft, the Thunder own the rights to 35 draft picks, which is enough to field two completely different teams!
GM Sam Presti is always looking for ways to flip players his team is not going to utilize for draft picks, which is why Kenrich Williams could be a player on the move.
Having the ability to play either in the backcourt or on the wing, Williams is a versatile two-way player that has actually flown under the radar as an impactful bench player.
Last season with the Thunder, Kenrich Williams averaged 8.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists while shooting 44.4% from three-point range in 66 total games.

Oklahoma City has Aleksej Pokusevski, Darius Bazley, and Luguentz Dort as potential options on the wing, so moving Kenrich Williams could make perfect sense for the Thunder.
As for Portland, the 26-year-old guard/forward is owed $2M this season and then $2M next season with both years of his contract being non-guaranteed. They would not be tied down to him long-term and if he does not produce for them this season, then they could simply waive him with no ramifications to them.

Trading for Kenrich Williams is a no-risk, moderately-high reward move that definitely makes sense for the Portland Trail Blazers given Williams’ potential to be a “3-and-D” player on the wing. For a low-cost of a future draft pick, bringing him in is definitely a smart move for the Blazers.
