Two of New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, and Washington Wizards miss playoffs
With multiple teams in the Eastern Conference improving this offseason, there are teams who made the playoffs last season that may fall short of them this season.
The Bulls and the Toronto Raptors are two teams that could make the postseason after failing to do so in 2020-21.
In light of that, two of the New York Knicks, the Boston Celtics, and the Washington Wizards, will miss the playoffs in 2021-22. I’d give the Wizards the highest chance of watching the playoffs from home of those three teams.
Portland Trail Blazers miss the postseason
The Portland Trail Blazers have a long-running streak of making the playoffs, having made the playoffs in eight straight years.

Despite Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum returning for another season together, the Trail Blazers aren’t able to extend their postseason streak.
Portland didn’t have an offseason that instills confidence in them being a playoff team in a competitive Western Conference. The Trail Blazers may need the play-in tournament to have any chance of playing in the playoffs in the upcoming season.
