1. Derrick Favors
The Oklahoma City Thunder continued stockpiling draft picks this offseason. They made trades all throughout the offseason and each one netted them first-round picks in the future.
The most recent salary dump trade that they were a part of involved the Utah Jazz. Oklahoma City took on Derrick Favors and a future first-round pick to take on his contract. Unlike Kemba Walker, who they acquired from the Boston Celtics earlier in the offseason and eventually had to buy out, Favors could have a market.
The Golden State Warriors would be smart to check in on Favors. The Thunder are going to eventually move him and he would be a good fit for their frontcourt. If James Wiseman shows that he is not yet ready to contribute to a contender, Golden State needs reinforcements at the center spot.
Favors can still provide some impact on the interior with his rebounding and rim protection. He is the kind of steady veteran that the Warriors could use in the frontcourt that could start at center or come off the bench for some minutes.

This could also be a chance for the Warriors to upgrade their draft capital to swing a bigger trade. If James Wiseman, who fits the Thunder’s timeline perfectly, is included, Golden State would get a strong package in return.
The likely multiple draft picks the Warriors would receive could be used to build another trade package to add an established veteran to further upgrade the roster and get them back onto the level of other contending teams.
