Zach LaVine – Chicago Bulls
Being named an All-Star for the first time in his career was a big accomplishment for Zach LaVine last season, but this is only the beginning for him. The 26-year-old LaVine is set to begin his fifth season in Chicago with the Bulls and is currently in the final year of his contract worth $19.5M for the 2021-22 season.
Every year he has been in Chicago, Zach LaVine has become a much more dynamic scorer both with and without the ball, and last season, he averaged 27.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and shot 41.9% from three-point range.
Given the Bulls financial situation right now after bringing in Lonzo Ball and DeMar DeRozan via sign-and-trades, Chicago can extend him for a deal that would reach about $105M over four years, but this is definitely well below Zach LaVine’s market price right now.
If he waits until next offseason, Zach LaVine could be eligible for a five-year, $200M deal with the Bulls, which is likely what he is going to wind up doing.

Who knows, we could see LaVine and the Bulls agree on a new long-term deal that would increase over time before the start of the 2021-22 season, but it is much more likely that he will wait for the salary cap to increase for the 2022-23 season before signing a new deal.
Given all the high-level pieces the Bulls added this offseason, Chicago definitely has a chance to be a playoff team in the Eastern Conference this upcoming season and LaVine will be the leader of this group.
