The Dallas Mavericks have undergone a makeover this NBA offseason throughout the organization. The front office saw a change, as Donnie Nelson was fired as general manager. Shortly after that decision, head coach Rick Carlisle stepped down.

Within a matter of days, the Mavericks’ leadership was changed drastically. Nico Harrison was tabbed as the replacement for Nelson upstairs, while Jason Kidd will take over for Carlisle on the sidelines.

The roster will look a little different heading into the 2021-22 season as well. Dallas didn’t have a draft pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, but they made some changes otherwise.

Josh Richardson was traded to the Boston Celtics in exchange for Moses Brown, as both teams received traded player exceptions. The team option on Willie Cauley-Stein was exercised. Out of the six free agents the franchise had, only Tim Hardaway Jr. and Boban Marjanovic were re-signed.

The Indiana Pacers could help alleviate that problem with Jeremy Lamb. The team is reportedly shopping Lamb and he could help fix Dallas’ shortcomings there. What could a trade look like between the two teams?
