Mavericks Receive: F/G Jeremy Lamb
Pacers Receive: G Tyrell Terry, 2022 Second-Round Pick
The Indiana Pacers are reportedly shopping Jeremy Lamb, as his role on the wing is undefined currently. Looking to unload him, they do in this scenario to the Dallas Mavericks for Tyrell Terry and a 2022 second-round pick.
Caris LeVert will likely be in the starting five and still have Justin Holiday on the roster. There were also some wing options added in the offseason.
The Pacers used the No. 13 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft on Chris Duarte and signed Torrey Craig in free agency. That doesn’t leave much, if any, playing time for Lamb.
So, unloading him is certainly an option. But, that is easier said than done. Lamb returned last season after suffering a torn ACL but had lingering knee and leg issues throughout the season.

The injury limited him to only 36 games played, so finding a taker for him may prove difficult, especially when you consider he is owed $10.5 million this season.
So, getting anything in return for him in this scenario, instead of having to buy him out, is a win for Indiana. They get a look at Tyrell Terry, who was the first pick of the second round in 2020.

He was a highly-regarded shooter coming out of Stanford. He played well during the 2021 Summer League and averaged 14.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.1 steals per game in the G League last season.
Landing him and a second-round pick for Lamb is a good haul considering the Indiana Pacers don’t have a real need for him and are looking to move on from him anyway.
