Detroit Pistons
The Detroit Pistons recently moved Jahlil Okafor and Sekou Doumbouya for four second-round draft picks, DeAndre Jordan, and cash considerations, but they will be waiving Jordan in the coming days. This means the Pistons will have an open roster spot once they buy out DeAndre Jordan, so what will one of the league’s youngest teams look to do?
In the offseason, they did bring in both Trey Lyles and Kelly Olynyk, but Jaden McDaniels would surely be a great upgrade for the Pistons’ frontcourt if he were available for them to trade for. What they would offer up remains a mystery, but Detroit is a team much like the Oklahoma City Thunder in the case that they are building for the future.
Winning is not a priority for the Detroit Pistons right now, which is why they could be willing to trade away some interesting names to acquire McDaniels. They likely would not make a trade for Jaden McDaniels until around midseason. Still, guys like Kelly Olynyk, Cory Joseph, and Hamidou Diallo could all be interesting trade targets for the Timberwolves.
Compared to the other two teams mentioned before, the Detroit Pistons do not have as many valuable assets to offer up to the Timberwolves, which is likely why they would not put together a trade package good enough for Jaden McDaniels. Still, they do have young talents, and draft picks that could be of value to Minnesota.

Seeing as they will soon have an open roster spot and they are always looking to add other young talents, making a trade for Jaden McDaniels certainly would make sense for the Detroit Pistons; it just is not too reasonable to believe they could pull off this kind of trade.
