Portland Trail Blazers
The Portland Trail Blazers were under some pressure to improve their roster this offseason. Damian Lillard urged the front office to have some urgency, but they fell short of even the lowest of expectations.
Cody Zeller, Ben McLemore, and Tony Snell were signed in free agency. Larry Nance Jr. was acquired in a three-team trade with the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers. While Jeremy Lamb wouldn’t be a huge acquisition, he would be a good addition on the wing.
The Portland Trail Blazers are starting three players, Lillard, CJ McCollum, and Norman Powell, who are all 6’3” or shorter. They could use some size there, and Lamb would help provide that with his length.
Right now, McLemore and Snell are in line for rotation minutes, along with Anfernee Simons. That isn’t overly encouraging, and acquiring Lamb would give Chauncey Billups another option to consider soaking up minutes on the wing.

Lamb could also be used as part of a bigger trade between the Indiana Pacers and Portland Trail Blazers should Lillard or McCollum get involved in trade talks. Should that happen, players like Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner, or Malcolm Brogdon could also get involved.
