Golden State Warriors Receive: G Collin Sexton, F Kevin Love (maybe draft considerations)
Cleveland Cavaliers Receive: F Andrew Wiggins, G Jordan Poole
There had been a lot of talks this offseason involving the Cleveland Cavaliers. They have extension talks looming with Collin Sexton, and the Kevin Love saga has to end eventually. They find a conclusion to both in this deal.
Sexton and Love head to Golden State in this swap. Sexton provides the Warriors with another ball-handler and scorer to help take the load off of Stephen Curry. Love is someone they have shown interest in acquiring previously.
The buyout route is likely what they would prefer, but it would be hard to turn down if they land Sexton and possible draft compensation as sweeteners. Golden State is handing out a lot of money in this scenario, so draft considerations would assuredly be included.
For Cleveland, they are finally getting Andrew Wiggins to suit up for them. This is the second time he and Love are being traded for each other. When the Cavaliers acquired Love from the Minnesota Timberwolves, Wiggins was part of the package going back.

Wiggins isn’t coming alone in the deal, as Jordan Poole would be joining him. Poole made major strides as a sophomore after a challenging rookie season and looked like a solid rotational piece for a backcourt.
How does this trade impact both teams? Let’s take an in-depth look, starting with the Warriors.
