1. Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets are on the cusp of becoming legitimate contenders in the Western Conference. The injury to Jamal Murray will put a bit of a damper on that, but they can still make some noise throughout the season.
Having the reigning MVP Nikola Jokic on the team is a great place to start. Michael Porter Jr. is a budding star. While they may not challenge for a title with Murray sidelined, they will still be a tough out no matter who they match up with.
The Denver Nuggets would be even tougher to beat with an experienced point guard such as Goran Dragic helping compensate for the loss of Murray.
Right now, Monte Morris is slated to be the starting point guard, but he has had some injury concerns of his own. Facundo Campazzo is his backup. They have other capable playmakers, such as Jokic and Will Barton, and Austin Rivers can play some point guard as well. But adding some more depth at the position wouldn’t be a bad thing.

Dragic can step into a reserve role with the team, shoring up the backcourt rotation until Murray is healthy enough to return. He can still play starter minutes if the need arises for the Denver Nuggets, but having other options will help keep Dragic fresh for the stretch run.
