Brooklyn Nets finish with the best record in the NBA during the regular season

Some will call this a prediction, some will say it is common sense, but however you spell it out, the Brooklyn Nets are the best team in the NBA and they will finish the regular season with the best record in the league.

Now, this does not necessarily mean they will win the title, as, since the start of the 2010-11 season, just four teams that were the best team during the regular season went on to win a title, with none of them coming in the last four seasons.

Just because you win the regular season does not mean you will win a title, but man is this Brooklyn Nets team impressive on paper! If they can stay healthy, which is a big “if” given all the injuries we have seen league-wide over the years, this team has a chance to be historically great because of all the talent they have.

Not only do they have Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving, three of the best scorers of this generation and three future Hall-of-Famers, but the Brooklyn Nets have Joe Harris, Patty Mills, Paul Millsap, LaMarcus Aldridge, Blake Griffin, Bruce Brown, James Johnson and other key talents that will all play a role this season.

There really are no weaknesses to this team and quite honestly, they are not going to be a terrible defensive team inside like most people are saying either.

Kevin Durant can guard literally anyone in the league and both Millsap and Johnson are really solid defenders in their own right. Both Bruce Brown and Blake Griffin were also solid defensively last season, which is why this Brooklyn Nets team is going to be a really great all-around team with an emphasis on their ability to score the ball.

The highest-scoring team during the regular season in NBA history is the 1981-82 Denver Nuggets, who averaged 126.5 points per game. Last year, the Brooklyn Nets averaged 118.6 points per game during the regular season, but they really have a chance to break Denver’s long-standing scoring record.

This would be quite an accomplishment, especially given that averaging just 120 points per game is impressive, but with three top scorers of All-Time, as well as a plethora of other contributing pieces, the Brooklyn Nets enter the 2021-22 NBA season as not only the best team in the Eastern Conference, but the team to beat in the entire NBA.
