DeAndre Jordan
When the Brooklyn Nets signed Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving during the 2019 offseason, DeAndre Jordan was the player that went along with them. They are good friends and they wanted to play together.
Jordan was solid during his first season in Brooklyn, averaging 8.3 points and 10 rebounds per game. However, things didn’t go as well during Year 2.
DeAndre Jordan saw his production slip to 7.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. He had become a huge liability defensively, and the team ultimately removed him from the rotation. He sat and watched from the bench for the end of the regular season and entire postseason, as he didn’t receive a single second of playing time.
Being friends with Durant and Irving may have saved him for a little while, but there is only so long that can last. In fact, it wasn’t enough to keep him in town as he was already traded to the Detroit Pistons.

When DeAndre Jordan is bought out, the Los Angeles Lakers will be where he ends up. How it impacts Marc Gasol will be another element to watch given he could end up elsewhere as a result.
