Goran Dragic
To say Goran Dragic was disappointed when the Miami Heat included him in the sign-and-trade deal for Kyle Lowry would be an understatement. Dragic was traded to Toronto along with Precious Achiuwa and a future second-round pick, but he was not thrilled with the trade.
In a translated interview, Dragic reportedly said that he had higher ambitions than playing for the Raptors this upcoming season. They were not his preferred destination and he would have liked to end up somewhere else.
Things can get lost in translation, but Goran Dragic did issue an apology for what he said. He said that things didn’t come out the right way. You can assure that he will receive a lot of boos and jeers from the Toronto crowd the next time that he plays in front of them, as it likely will not be in a Raptors uniform.
Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report shared that all signs point toward Dragic being bought out by the Raptors, which makes sense. Toronto has little use for a 35-year old point guard given the current state of the team and trading him with a $19.4 million expiring deal would prove difficult.

Once that happens Goran Dragic will get his wish and sign with the Dallas Mavericks. He will unite with his fellow Slovenian, Luka Doncic, and give the Mavericks the secondary ball-handler they have been looking for all offseason.
