2. Brandon Ingram
The Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans came together on a blockbuster trade a little over three years ago when Sacramento sent DeMarcus Cousins to New Orleans. This time around, it will be New Orleans sending a young All-Star to Sacramento.
It is anyone’s guess what the Pelicans are setting up to do. They cleared a lot of cap space this offseason, yet acquired none of their reported targets. Kyle Lowry and Spencer Dinwiddie were both part of sign-and-trade deals elsewhere. They didn’t match an offer sheet from the Chicago Bulls for Lonzo Ball, resulting in a sign-and-trade for him as well.
Devonte’ Graham of the Charlotte Hornets was acquired via sign-and-trade to take over at point guard. Looking to reshape their roster, the Kings should check in on the availability of Brandon Ingram.
Ingram would fill a massive hole on the Kings’ roster as they have no real building blocks on the wing. Buddy Hield has been playing there out of position because of the logjam in the backcourt, but Brandon Ingram would present a massive upgrade for Sacramento.

Ingram, who just turned 24, has already made one All-Star team and is one of the best point-forwards in the NBA. He is also a very good two-way player, giving Sacramento another foundational piece to build around.
If there is any truth to the rumors that Brandon Ingram wants to leave because he doesn’t see himself as a long-term fit alongside Zion Williamson, the Kings need to pounce.
