Would this trade make sense for the Los Angeles Lakers?
The Los Angeles Lakers added Marc Gasol as a short-term veteran option prior to last season. He ended up starting some games for the team but moved to the bench as the year went on.
With the current configuration of the roster, Gasol and the Lakers could split this offseason.
Gasol is a prime candidate for a buyout but the Lakers could also look to get something back in return. When Andre Drummond was bought out by the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Lakers quickly signed him and he was the starting center.
If DeAndre Jordan ends up getting bought out and signing with the Lakers, Gasol could be on the move. This is especially the case when factoring in Anthony Davis being expected to play more at the center position and Dwight Howard already being in the mix, too.
