Houston Rockets
The Houston Rockets are in the earlier stages of their rebuild. After trading James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets last season, the two teams could come together again on another deal.
The Rockets have some trade exceptions they could use to absorb DeAndre Jordan into their salary cap. Given where they are in their rebuild, they would likely be amenable to taking that contract on with draft pick compensation being attached.
The Rockets also have some players that could be of interest to the Nets in Danuel House Jr. and D.J. Augustin. Either of those players combined with the trade exceptions that the Rockets have at their disposal would make a deal possible.
House would provide Brooklyn with another 3-and-D wing to bolster their perimeter rotation. He also has some playoff experience under his belt already, so he wouldn’t shy away from the bright lights.

Augustin is a 13-year veteran that would provide more insurance for the team in the backcourt in the event of Kyrie Irving being unreliable again. He can provide solid 3-point shooting and playmaking.
Both would be nice acquisitions in a deal with the Rockets that includes Jordan, who doesn’t look to be part of the Nets’ plans going forward.
