Los Angeles Lakers
There isn’t a team in the NBA that saw as much overturn on the roster as the Los Angeles Lakers. They will have at least 10 new faces on the roster once the season begins, and they could have as many as 11 or 12 depending on how some things shake out.
LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Talen Horton-Tucker are the only players that seem to be locked on the roster from last season’s team to begin this season. Marc Gasol was thought to be, but he is no longer considered one.
If Gasol is moved, the Lakers will need another big man to fill his spot on the roster. Dwight Howard would be the only true center left, with Anthony Davis capable of playing some minutes there. It would be great to see a healthy DeMarcus Cousins finally suit up in the purple and gold.
Cousins would be the sixth player making his return to the Lakers organization this offseason. Kent Bazemore, Trevor Ariza, Wayne Ellington, Rajon Rondo, and Howard are all back for at least their second go-round with the franchise.

Cousins is unlikely to land more than a veteran’s minimum deal, so going to a team that he is familiar with that has players he has already played with would be a good landing spot. He could continue rehabbing his value and look to cash in on a more lucrative deal next offseason.
