Brooklyn Nets
The Brooklyn Nets are geared up to challenge for an NBA Championship this upcoming season. Their Big 3 of Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving is tough to match up with, now Sean Marks just has to continue rounding out the roster around them.
The Nets have done a good job of filling out the roster, as they made five picks in the 2021 NBA Draft and signed some veteran free agents in Patty Mills and James Johnson. However, the center position remains a question mark.
DeAndre Jordan looks like he will be on the way out, leaving a big hole on the roster. While he was removed from the rotation at the end of the season, not even playing a second in the postseason, having a veteran in place would still make sense.
Without Jordan, the Nets’ depth chart at the center spot is Nicolas Claxton and Day’Ron Sharpe with Blake Griffin and Johnson providing spot minutes. That needs to change and DeMarcus Cousins would help.

Cousins has some experience playing with both Durant and Harden, which would make the transition a little easier. He wouldn’t be relied upon to play heavy minutes for the Nets, but he would still produce even playing 8-14 minutes per game.
