Would this trade make sense for the Brooklyn Nets?

The Brooklyn Nets do not need to make any more moves in order to win a championship next season. All they have to do is stay healthy and play to the level they are capable of. If a deal like this one falls into their laps, it would be hard to turn down.

Both Kyrie Irving and James Harden dealt with injuries during the postseason. This caused Brooklyn to be eliminated in seven games by the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round.

Even without two-thirds of the big three, Kevin Durant was almost able to navigate the Nets to the conference finals on his own. When Brooklyn signed Durant and Irving, they also brought De’Andre Jordan to town.

Jordan has been unable to find consistent playing time and this means the two sides could split moving forward. If that is the case, Valanciunas is the perfect replacement.

Valanciunas is a big man who can score and rebound on both ends of the floor. He is a double double machine and his game is only growing on both ends. On a team like the nets, Valanciunas will not have a lot of pressure on his shoulders and will be able to play his game effectively.
