1. Portland Trail Blazers
The Portland Trail Blazers had a ho-hum start to the offseason. Ben McLemore, Cody Zeller and Tony Snell were signed in free agency. They add some veteran depth, but none of them really move the needle.
They were part of the recent three-team trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Chicago Bulls. Portland acquired Larry Nance Jr. in that deal and Derrick Jones Jr. went to the Bulls, along with a heavily protected first-round pick.
Nance will help shore things up for the Trail Blazers in the frontcourt, but the departure of Jones opens up a spot on the wing. He fell out of the rotation in the postseason but averaged 22.7 minutes per game in the regular season.
Kyle Anderson would be a good acquisition to soak up those minutes Jones was playing. He is a solid defender, something Portland could certainly use more of. Without a backup point guard, Anderson could also help initiate some offense to give Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum a rest from carrying the offense.

As a jack-of-all-trades, Anderson would be a solid fit in the Trail Blazers’ wing rotation. They need more players that can get it done defensively and Anderson offers excellent versatility on that end of the court.
