Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors came into the offseason with the assets to make a splash transaction. While that never transpired, there is still time for the Warriors to work out a deal, and Christian Wood would be an excellent target for them.
The Warriors are in an interesting spot. They have their core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green hopefully coming back this season. With that veteran core, Golden State should be able to make another championship run, but they will need some help in doing so.
Wood could be the piece that helps keep that championship window open. In addition, Golden State has the assets to pull a deal off for him.
The Warriors could include the No. 2 pick from the 2020 NBA Draft, James Wiseman, as the centerpiece of a deal. While Wiseman has immense potential, the Warriors aren’t truly in a position to allow him to develop. They need players that will help them win now, and Wood is better equipped to do so.

With his two-way play, Wood would fit in nicely alongside the Warriors’ core and Andrew Wiggins. That is a team that would get after it on both sides of the court, presenting opponents with impossible offensive sets to slow down and the versatility to play suffocating defense as well.
