Would this trade make sense for the Minnesota Timberwolves?
The Minnesota Timberwolves attempted to add some big names around Karl-Anthony Towns but nothing has worked at this point. They are not a competitive team in a deep Western Conference, so when is it time to blow up the roster and rebuild fully around Anthony Edwards?
D’Angelo Russell and Malik Beasley have been featured as other potential trade pieces because of their value. Beasley put up a strong offensive season while Russell was brought to town to be that star on the perimeter. This return would land them some more pieces during their rebuild.
Christian Wood showed that he can get it done on both ends of the floor and lead a team in many ways. Draft capital and young prospects are things that are gold to a rebuilding team in Minnesota and this is what they would get from Houston.
The Rockets may not have the absolute best trade package available from the teams that likely would jump at the chance to trade for Karl-Anthony Towns, but regardless, what Houston can put in a package is intriguing.
