Jeremy Lamb
Jeremy Lamb tore his ACL during his first season with the Indiana Pacers in the 2019-20 season. That delayed his start to the 2020-21 season, as he played in a total of 36 games as he battled lingering knee and leg issues as well.
While he was on the court, he was still productive. He averaged 10.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.6 blocks in only 21.3 minutes per game. His shooting splits of .435/.406/.947 are very impressive and something plenty of teams would love to add to their roster.
Lamb is on an expiring deal worth $10.5 million for the 2021-22 season. The Pacers have been looking to move Lamb since early in August, but have yet to find a taker. Teams are probably hesitant to part with assets to acquire him unless he can show that he is truly healthy.
Indiana wanting to move on from him makes sense, as they have Caris LeVert ready to start at shooting guard and used the 13th overall pick in this year’s draft on Chris Duarte. Without a defined role in the rotation, Lamb is expendable.

There are reportedly four teams interested in him, with the Los Angeles Lakers and Charlotte Hornets being named. Unless he is bought out, the Lakers do not have much to offer in a trade with almost two-thirds of their roster on veteran’s minimum deals.
Ultimately, it will be the Hornets who land Jeremy Lamb, using him as a backup on the wing so Terry Rozier can help shore up the point guard spot behind LaMelo Ball.
