Would this trade make sense for the Miami Heat?
The Miami Heat are still in win-now mode despite a disappointing ending to the season. Kyle Lowry will join a group that has experience on the biggest stage and has gotten it done before. The Eastern Conference is very top-heavy and Miami is looking to return to the top.
When looking at the return in his deal, he could benefit Miami now and in the future. Cole Anthony is a point guard who can learn a lot from a veteran like Lowry. Most importantly, he can be a contributor on a cheap contract as Tyler Herro nears a need for an extension.
This puts the Heat in a position to be strong at the top of the offense for years to come. RJ Hampton is another guard that is a bit unproven who can thrive in a successful organization like Miami.
Pat Riley has landed the big moves in order to be successful and that can continue moving forward with a deal such as this one. Preserving long-term salary cap flexibility and adding a few contributors with upside along with draft assets would be a helpful outcome.

The Heat are one of the teams that is used to succeeding and that can happen next season if all goes right. They seem to be balanced on both fans and have the rotation figured out to this point. If they were any moves left, this is one that could come up as the offseason goes on.
