Better Balance On Roster

The Miami Heat did an excellent job of balancing out the roster this offseason. They still have a few spots that need shoring up, possibly adding another point guard. Another 3-and-D wing wouldn’t hurt and if there is room remaining, another veteran big man could be added as well.

While they are looking to round out the roster, the heavy lifting has been done. The addition of Kyle Lowry gives Miami a legitimate ball-handler and shot-creator to take pressure off of Jimmy Butler, who carried a lot of the shot creation load by himself last season.

P.J. Tucker is an excellent complement to Bam Adebayo in the frontcourt, bringing toughness and more floor spacing. He will help replace what the team lost when Jae Crowder signed with the Phoenix Suns last offseason and what Trevor Ariza and Andre Iguodala brought to the table last season.

Dewayne Dedmon played well upon his arrival in Miami and gave them another solid piece of their frontcourt. Tyler Herro should assume his role as the sixth man, and if he makes a third-year jump that Miami believes he can, it will strengthen the team even more.

Victor Oladipo, who is rehabbing from his quadriceps injury, is an x-factor for the team as well. If he can get 100 percent healthy, the Heat will be adding a former All-Star to the mix halfway through the season that can help them win games.
