1. Brooklyn Nets
The Brooklyn Nets land in the No. 1 spot in these rankings because they can provide everything that JJ Redick is looking for at this point in his career. The Nets provide proximity to his family and a chance to win a ring.
Redick was very disappointed when the New Orleans Pelicans traded him to the Dallas Mavericks at the trade deadline. He was under the impression he would be bought out if a trade wasn’t found and instead of moving closer to his family, he moved further away.
It doesn’t get any closer to his family than the Nets. Redick’s family currently resides in Brooklyn, so he would be able to see them a lot during the season should he pick the Nets to sign with.
At 37-years old, Redick doesn’t have many more years to play in the NBA. Redick made the postseason every season of his career before joining the Pelicans, but he has not yet won a championship. He wants that elusive ring and Brooklyn has as good of a chance as anyone at winning one this season.
