2. Los Angeles Lakers

Rob Pelinka has done a masterful job filling out the roster this offseason. The Lakers saw a lot of their depth leave this offseason, whether it was from players entering free agency or them being traded away.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Kyle Kuzma and Montrezl Harrell were traded to the Washington Wizards for Russell Westbrook. Alex Caruso, Ben McLemore, Markieff Morris and Andre Drummond all departed in free agency.

Having a core of Westbrook, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Marc Gasol and Talen Horton-Tucker was a strong enough one to attract a ton of veteran free agents. Carmelo Anthony, Trevor Ariza, Wayne Ellington, Dwight Howard, Kent Bazemore and Malik Monk all signed veteran minimum deals. Kendrick Nunn signed a two-year, $10.3 million deal.

Could JJ Redick be the next veteran to join the team? The Lakers have said they will keep at least one roster spot open during the regular season. That spot could eventually go to the sharpshooting Redick.

Last season the Lakers struggled shooting 3-pointers, so Redick would help them turn things around in that area. It was an emphasis of the front office with the players added this offseason already as well.

While the Lakers would present Redick with a chance to win a title, it is unknown if he would be willing to head that far west away from his family. The location could be the determining factor against the Lakers landing Redick.
