Brooklyn Nets Receive: C Myles Turner

Indiana Pacers Receive F Joe Harris

This NBA trade scenario is a simple player-for-player swap but that does not mean that it is a low-level deal.

Myles Turner is the centerpiece of this trade going to the Brooklyn Nets. He would give them a new dynamic in the frontcourt that could be used against other big men in the Eastern Conference.

There is a ton of firepower within the Nets’ offense between Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden. However, there is a need to reinforce the team’s defense and there’s no better way to do so than to surround that group of superstars with an elite rim protector.

In return, the Nets would have to part ways with Joe Harris to make this NBA trade scenario appealing to the Indiana Pacers. The team could replace Doug McDermott’s shooting that was lost in free agency and would need more wing talent after sliding Domantas Sabonis to the five spot.

Harris signed a contract with the Nets last offseason but was unproductive during the playoffs. If he is the return for a player like Turner, the Nets could pull the trigger on this deal.
