The Atlanta Hawks upgraded their roster in a major way in the 2020 NBA offseason. Looking to get back into the playoff picture, the team added several veterans to the roster. One of those veterans was Danilo Gallinari.

The Hawks signed Gallinari to a three-year, $61 million deal as part of a sign-and-trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The last year, 2022-23 season, is not fully guaranteed. That makes him an intriguing trade chip, especially for teams that could be looking to clear some salary to spend next offseason.

Gallinari struggled with some injuries during his first season in Atlanta, playing in only 51 regular-season games. But, when he was on the court, he provided a steady scoring punch with the second unit.

The Rooster averaged 13.3 points per game, knocking down 40.6 percent of his 3-point attempts in the process. He also chipped in 4.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 24 minutes per game. He kept up that consistency in the postseason, averaging 12.8 points on 40.5 percent 3-point shooting to go along with 3.9 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 24.6 minutes per game.

But, with so much money now being committed to Trae Young and John Collins and the team has a lot of depth, Gallinari could be on the move. The veteran sharpshooter would help a lot of teams if he is indeed traded away.

Here are three teams that should keep an eye on Danilo Gallinari on the trade market.
