Would this trade make sense for the San Antonio Spurs?
The San Antonio Spurs is a franchise that is used to winning over the last two decades. They are in a bit of a transition. The Spurs have been unable to get that consistent production to get them back in the playoffs. That is what they are looking to do this offseason and Wiggins could be one of their targets.
The value around Wiggins is not high considering his contract situation. The Spurs would be able to get him for a bit of a bargain and that brings even more intrigue.
Wiggins knows a thing or two about being traded in his career. He has been unable to find a consistent home and that is because he is viewed as a trade piece everywhere he goes. Perhaps after spending time with the Golden State Warriors, he could be ready to shoulder a larger role once again?
Gregg Popovich will be able to find the right role and plug them into the system that gives him the best chance to succeed. They will also help the team continue to improve moving forward.

When the time comes, these two teams can get together for a deal that helps both sides. For the Spurs, they are in need of players that can help balance on both ends of the floor. Wiggins could be that player for the team and that means they should take a chance.
