Does this trade make sense for the Minnesota Timberwolves?
The Minnesota Timberwolves have been near the bottom of the league for years now you could just be looking for the next big splash. They have attempted to put some stars in the lineup but nothing has worked at this point.
Ben Simmons could be the next level player that fits well with Karl-Anthony Towns on both ends. In this particular NBA trade scenario, Minnesota would not be giving up Anthony Edwards in the deal and would be able to form an intriguing trio of talent to build around.
Simmons could be in need of a change of scenery. It is unlikely that he goes to Minnesota and learns how to shoot from anywhere on the floor, but he would be able to play in a new scheme in this it could be what he is looking for.
Minnesota has seen a lot of players featured in NBA trade rumors, other than Anthony Edwards, and they can package it all together to get Simmons to town. This could be an intriguing way of shaking up the roster to start winning with Towns.
