G Kyle Guy – Golden State Warriors Summer League

If you can hit three-point shots, you will find a job in today’s league, which is why Kyle Guy is going to wind up on a two-way contract or a minimum contract somewhere. He could even end up on the roster for the Golden State Warriors, the team he is currently playing for in Summer League!

Since entering the league in 2019 as the 55th pick in the draft, Kyle Guy has been known to be a “green-light” shooter from the perimeter, meaning that he is someone who cannot be left open.

This “Guy” can absolutely light it up from beyond-the-arc and while he did not play well with the Kings during his first two years in the league, he has played really well in Las Vegas this last week or so.

Through three Summer League games with the Warriors, Kyle Guy has averaged 10.0 points and has shot 36.4% from three-point range. Whether it is running off of screens for an open look from the perimeter or creating space for himself off-the-dribble, Guy can get his shot off quickly and it looks really smooth.

He is not much of a playmaker and facilitator, which could deter some teams from considering him at the point guard position, but this should not take away from the kind of shooter/scorer Guy is. When left open, he can hit three-point shots time and time again, which is why Kyle Guy has played himself into a two-way contract in this league.
